The Moorland Exhibition
of Needlework Art and Rural Crafts
Princetown, Dartmoor, Devon, UK

The Moorland Exhibition of needlework, art, traditional and rural crafts is organised by Nutmeg and is held each year in August at the Princetown Primary School in Dartmoor, Devon, UK.

2004 Exhibition Dates:
Starts: Saturday 7th August 2004
Ends: Sunday 15th August 2004

doors close at 4pm

Welcome to the ninth moorland exhibition. The Organisers and Exhibitors hope you enjoy your visit. The event is staged in the Princetown Village School. This is a Victorian building, with many additions. Please be sure you have visited all the rooms before you leave. You will find that advice and demonstrations are freely available at most exhibits.

The exhibition is run as a non profit making event. No charge is made to the exhibitors and no commission is taken on their sales. This is reflected in the cost of their work. All the items for sale are made by our exhibitors. Our only income is raised from the admission charge of £2. This funds the cost of staging the event and a donation of £1,000 is made each year to the school fund.

The High Moorland W.I. serves home-made cakes and savouries, tea and coffee, all day. The profit from this hard work supports the W.I. for the rest of the year.

Sadly, due to circumstances beyond our control, this year will be the last year that The Moorland Exhibition will be held in the format we have all got to know and that has proved to be so successful. There are various options being considered for the future and these will be publicised on this website as soon as something has been agreed.
